Regan Fedric, Co-founder, Program Director

As Program Director of Sunflower Wellness, Regan Fedric, Cancer and Exercise Specialist, realizes a life-long desire to bridge the worlds of fitness and medicine. A gifted athlete, she was a Division I basketball recruit at the University of Memphis, where she earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and a Minor in Biology. Upon graduation, she was also the Director of Operations for the Lady Tiger basketball team at U of M. Regan has worked as a PT Aide at the Campbell Clinic, was the developer of the Eagle’s Circle at the Lebonheur Medical Center YMCA—a program for children with asthma and/or obesity. She also worked in a cardiac rehabilitation program at Lebonheur. In 2002, Regan co-developed the IMPACT program (Integrating Medical Professionals and Certified Trainers), which was the predecessor to Sunflower Wellness. Regan has amassed thousands of clinical hours and is part of an integrative team that provides compassionate and progressive care to cancer patients at Smith Integrative Oncology, UCSF Helen Diller Cancer Center, Marin Specialty Care, and Kaiser Permanente.

Jane Clark, Program Coordinator

Jane Clark, is a Coordinator for Sunflower Wellness at The San Francisco Bay Club, a Cancer Exercise Specialist, a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. Since the early 1990’s, Jane has worked as a fitness professional in the Bay Area, serving as a Fitness Director for the Chevron Corporation, The University of California San Francisco and Western Athletic Clubs.

Jane is devoted to the field of cancer and exercise and has produced and presented continuing education workshops on the subject matter to other trainers and instructors. Jane was a co-creator of the IMPACT program (Integrating Medical Professionals and Certified Trainers) with Regan Fedric. Jane currently teaches cancer related classes at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at UCSF, and at The San Francisco Bay Club. She has taught and presented at The Survivorship Program at UCSF, The CARE program at San Francisco General and the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic.

Jane co-created the Exercise Counseling program at UCSF, introduced it to Stanford University and has worked on a pilot program at Kaiser Permanente. Jane and Regan are also training other individuals on the skills necessary to become an Exercise Counselor.

Jane is certified as a Health Fitness Instructor and CET (Cancer Exercise Trainer) by ACSM, the American College of Sports Medicine, and as a Personal Trainer and Continuing Education Provider by ACE, the American Council on Exercise. Jane also holds a certificate from The University of Northern Colorado Greeley as a Cancer Exercise Specialist and is certified in Pilates Mat & Equipment. She is also trained in Degriefing, a holistic approach to Grief & Loss. Jane was recognized by IHRSA (International Health & Racquet Sport Association) as an Emerging Woman in Leadership.

Jane’s work highlights laughter and play – she believes exercise should be fun!

Sunflower Wellness has secured non-profit status under IRS Section 501(c)(3), as well as under California tax provisions, in order to solicit tax-free contributions from individuals and funding organizations.
