Our mission is to help as many people as possible living with cancer get exercise.
We bridge the gap between medical treatment and physical activity by working with oncologists to bring exercise directly to patients. We are committed to using the latest cancer and fitness research to set standards in our field.
Our programs promote healing and a sense of well-being, while helping our clients gain control through their recovery process. Sunflower Wellness understands every person is different and offers custom-tailored programs to meet their needs, infusing a unique warmth into all our work.
New program! Sunflower Wellness has helped to establish a new Exercise Counseling program, which started April 15, 2010. UC San Francisco cancer patients can now receive a FREE Exercise Counseling session onsite at the UCSF Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center in San Francisco at the Joseph and Ida Friend Cancer Resource Center. This unique program is offered free of charge to all UCSF cancer patients through a generous grant from the Mount Zion Health Fund. If you are a UCSF cancer patient, please call (415) 514-6430 to schedule an appointment. (Over 50 people have called since we started on April 15!)
It also gives us great pleasure to announce the formation of the Sunflower Wellness Medical Advisory Board. Some of the country's leading researchers and clinicians are advising us on cancer and exercise. Learn more about them
